Many people find that once the initial decision is made to "make the move" the procedure of finding their way through the Australian Migration Visa Application process is a daunting task and whilst the Department of Immigration Visa criteria are open and transparent, the process can be potentially quite complex with strictly enforced regulations.

The Department of Immigration fee for a visa application is usually non-refundable, and therefore it is essential to get their visa application RIGHT first time and as a professional Registered Migration Agent I can assist you with this process.

Whilst Migration Agents operating in other countries do not have to be registered all agents operating in Australia must be registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).

To gain my registration with OMARA, I completed and passed a comprehensive and extensive course in Australian Immigration Law and Regulations. In addition I am required to attend regular Continuing Professional Development seminars and conferences to ensure that I am kept up to date of the latest immigration developments. I am awarded points at these seminars and conferences and must accrue a stipulated number of points in order to be eligible to re-register with OMARA on an annual basis. In addition I am required to hold client money in a 'client account' and hold Professional indemnity insurance.
As a Registered Migration Agent, I am bound to practice in accordance with the OMARA Code of Conduct, which is incorporated in Australian Migration law. In addition to this, I have chosen to register with the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA), a professional body which is recognised by both MARA and the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

I am required to maintain a library of the current legislation and understand the complexities of the Migration Act and Migration Regulations. This knowledge is essential to competently address the requirements and criteria for each different visa.
